Chairperson of the Africa Christian Professionals Forum
Anne Mbugua is the Chairperson of the Africa Christian Professionals Forum (ACPF) and an Advisory Board chairperson of Kenya Christian Professionals Forum (KCPF). She brings over 25 years of extensive experience in legal practice. As the Senior Partner and Head of the Litigation Department at Musyimi and Company Advocates, she leads a team specializing in various areas, including Commercial Litigation, Banking Law, Environmental and Land Law, Judicial Review, Family Law, Medical Law, Employment Law, Debt Collection, Insurance Law, and Arbitration and Mediation.
Anne Mbugua is actively involved in initiatives aimed at improving the delivery of justice in the Family Division of the High Court of Kenya. Her commitment extends to collaborative efforts with other family law practitioners and stakeholders to enhance judicial processes and support the role of law in social and economic contexts.
She is a co-founder of the Kenya Christian Professionals Forum (KCPF), where she serves as the Chairperson of the Advisory Council. KCPF focuses on advocacy in governance, family values, life issues, and religious freedom. Anne’s work with KCPF reflects her dedication to integrating Christian principles into professional and public life.
A strong proponent of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Anne Mbugua has championed mediation as a means to resolve civil and family-related disputes effectively. Her extensive experience in guiding families through mediation includes matters such as custody, maintenance, parental rights, divorce, separation, and succession disputes. She believes in the value of mediation for promoting consultation and cohesion between parties, thus avoiding the costs and emotional strain of protracted litigation.
In 2014, Anne co-founded the Christian Mediation Centre in Kenya and later established Tupulla Mediators, an independent mediation center in Nairobi. Through Tupulla Mediators, she has provided a platform for efficient, solution-based, and party-driven resolution of disputes in a secure and open environment.
Her leadership and advocacy in mediation and family law underscore her commitment to upholding Christian values and promoting effective dispute resolution mechanisms in Kenya and beyond.
