Mary Ekemezie is a dedicated Board Member of the Africa Christian Professionals Forum (ACPF) and a distinguished legal practitioner with over 13 years of experience in the Nigerian legal industry. As the Lead Consultant at ME Consult, Mary has built a reputation for excellence in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and legal advisory across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Mary’s expertise encompasses a wide range of legal services, including corporate advisory, mergers and acquisitions, ESG advisory, company secretarial services, regulatory compliance, legal audits, intellectual property, and employment relations. Her notable achievements include co-leading the advisory team for LeapFrog’s acquisition of a significant minority stake in AIICO and ARM Pension Managers, guiding the merger of Pabod Breweries Ltd., Intafact Breweries Ltd., and International Breweries Plc (AB InBev’s Nigerian subsidiaries), and contributing to the Cadbury and Stanmark merger.
In addition to her consulting work, Mary is a prolific author and contributor to national, pan-African, and international publications. She regularly speaks and facilitates legal training sessions with organizations such as Bowman’s in South Africa and the UUBO Private Equity Academy, sharing her extensive knowledge and expertise with a broader audience.
Mary is also committed to community service, mentoring at organizations like She Trades, WIMBIZ, and the Doctor’s Health Initiative, and raising funds for IDP camps in Benin.
